PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF DYES OF THE TRIARYLMETHANE CLASS
Abstract
Abstract Translated from French L'invention a trait à la chimie des colorants. The invention relates to the chemistry of dyes. It relates to a process for obtaining dyes of the triarylmethane class with an excellent degree of purity. The hot molten reaction masses obtained by known processes are introduced into a two-phase system formed of water and an organic solvent, the miscibility of which in water is zero or limited, then the dyes are separated. The hues of the dyes of the triarylmethane class isolated in this way are lighter and bluer than those of the dyes purified by conventional methods.
