Gas or fluid display system for publicity purposes - uses coloured gas or fluid circulating in shaped tubes forming letters or numbers
Abstract
Abstract The display system has an enclosure (1) delimited by a wall which presents at least in part a transparent or translucent surface whose shape corresponds to the display. A system is provided for introducing into the enclosure (1) at determined instants and during determined time periods a fluid. the fluid is more impermeable to light than the transparent or translucent wall of the enclosure. thus the display appears darker each time a part of it contains the fluid. The system has devices for introducing two fluids successively and periodically into the enclosure. One of the fluids is transparent for example air, and the other is relatively opaque or coloured, for example a liquid. The system can be designed to permit periodic introduction of a coloured gas into the enclosure. The gas is vented to atmosphere when the disply is to be removed.
