Abstract
Abstract In the process, the film is laid in the injection mould before the injection of the liquid plastic or rubber. The film must consist of similar material to the material subsequently injected. During injection moulding, the side, facing the liquid plastic or rubber, of the laid-in film is softened, thereby achieving an actual welding of the film part to the basic material. By means of the process it is possible to carry out the application of the film and the injection moulding of the boot in a single process step.
