SLEEPING EDGE FOR RENOVATION WINDOW
Abstract
Abstract In a renovation window (1), the exchangeable frame (4) of which is mounted on an outer frame (3) remaining in the masonry (2) and in which the outside of the outer frame (3) is covered with an outer strip (10) which, for tolerance compensation in relation to the masonry (2), bears a seal (16), the outer strip (10) is provided with an undercut groove (18), which is open towards the exchangeable frame (4), for receiving the foot of the seal (16). The seal (16) is in this case equipped with an angling (24) in order to obtain an additional support with pretensioning of the seal (16) in the fastening region on the outer strip (10). Following the angling (24), the lip (12) of the seal (16) runs essentially in the same plane as the free leg (17) of the outer strip (10) so that a closed appearance is achieved. A secure hold of the seal (16) against the outer strip (10) is achieved, the pretensioning of the angling (24) increasing during mounting of the outer strip (10) with loading of the lip (12), while the foot (19) of the seal (16) is relieved.
