Abstract

Abstract The market post (1) of tubular plastics construction is for deployment as a traffic sign e.g. as an edge oif carriageway marker, a hazard marker, or a distance marker. The post is produced in one piece by extrusion, includes a demountable cap (2), and may be slender-walled triangular hollow cross-section with rounded arrisses. The cap (2) may be of coloured material and fit onto the top of the post. An auto-adhesive reflective strip (7) may be mounted on an upper external post face, or the face may be locally treated with reflective paint. Alternatively the post may be furnished with a distance indicative symbol.
