Abstract
Abstract The shoe is for locating a pane of glass in its mounting and comprises a U shaped compact elastic strip formed by an extension process. It is attached to a second strip which is tubular in cross-section and which prevents the possible ingress of water. The frame is located in front of the existing window pane or behind it to form double glaxing. When it is placed in front, a partial vacuum may be formed between the two panes of glass preventing heat losses to atmosphere.
