Rectangular coaxial line section for RF oscillator - U-shaped closed by cover plate and enclosing inner conductor with diode
Abstract
Abstract The rectangular coaxial line section, for RF oscillators in the GHz region, has a rectangular centre conductor (16) with RF diode (15) mounted in it, and a rectangular outer conductor consisting of two parts. The first part (11) is u-shaped, and the second part (12) forms a cover plate for the U, to which it is screwed (13, 14). The diode sits in a recess in the centre conductor and its conducting connector (18) is led away through a hole in the cover plate. The connector thickens at the point where it passes through the cover plate and is insulated from it by a bush (19). A spring (17) forms the external contact to the connector.
