Abstract

Abstract The machine has a sleeve whose wall is composed of hollow transverse belts inflated separately an successively. The inflation control functions in such a manner as to produce a pressure wave, caused by inflation and deflation, travelling along the sleeve. Each belt can be connected to the pressure source by a solenoid valve, these being controlled by a rotary switch, and operation can be so arranged that between a belt bing inflated and one being deflated there is always one under pressure. A massaging unit for the stomach comprises four inflation areas arranged in an annular form.
