Sinusoidal oscillator with low distortion level - has two active circuits in cascade and variable gain reactive loop
Abstract
Abstract The oscillator has two first order active circuits, each including an operational amplifier (1) and the reactive loop has a gain adjustment circuit, which allows the output level to be adjusted to provide a low level of distortion. Pref. each active circuit has a resistor (131, 132) supplying the signal to the inverting input of the amplifier (11, 12) and a capacitor resistor circuit (141, 151, 142, 152) supplying the signal to the non-inverting input. The two cascaded circuits are pref connected to a further operational amplifier (2), operating as an inverter, with a gain adjustable about a value of - 1 by a level regulating circuit (3).
