Abstract
Abstract Method of brazing pieces of metal, esp. Ti and Zr and their alloys (esp. an alloy of Ti, Al and/or V) uses a braze metal with m.pt. the pieces to be brazed and capable of co-diffusing with the metals in the alloys and comprises heating to a temp. > (ca. >=200 degrees C) the m.pt. of the braze metal to lay the braze metal in the joint, followed by a codiffusion heat treatment in a protective atmosphere at a temp. > brazing temp. and lowest temp. at which the mechanical properties of either piece would be affected by structural modification.
