Abstract

Abstract Screening the leads from a high frequency generator is effected by at least partially surrounding the leads with ferrite matl. Used esp. for equipment used for subjecting thermoplastic films to corona discharge treatment, typically at frequencies of 1 KHz - 10 MHz. Screening reduces interference with other electronic circuits in the vicinity, esp. semiconductor circuits as in television sets. Reduces parasitic high frequency losses while maintaining or enhancing the power output at the lower frequency levels.
