Extruded plastic netting - produced as individual bags with print activated surface
Abstract
Abstract The parent patent disclosed a die design for extrusion of seamless thermoplastic netting with periodic unperforated zones, collected as continuous lengths on reels. Here the reciprocating annular toothed die sleeve which interrupts as annular extrudate to form the net vents is provided with a close fitting stripper collar. The netting, after emerging from the cooling bath, is flattened and passed through an electric discharge to activate the surface prior to passing between a pair of printing or labelling belts and the tubular net is automatically welded and cut to produce individual bags of various sizes instead of remaining as a continuous tubular net.
