Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 17
Claim 1
Independent Claim 54 words
Device for introduction into a human or animal body, especially into an artery, specifically to be positioned in an aneurysmal sac in an artery between the wall of the artery and the wall of an endoprosthesis, comprising at least a pressure sensor and a transponder for wireless transmitting data available from the pressure sensor.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 23 words
Device according to claim 1, wherein the device has outer dimensions such that it can be introduced into said artery through a catheter.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 21 words
Device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the pressure sensor and the transponder are interconnected, preferably provided within one housing.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 61 words
Device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the pressure sensor has a range of at least 50-150 mm Hg (6.67 * 10 3 Pa - 20.0 * 10 3 Pa), preferably between 25-175 mm Hg (3.3 * 10 3 Pa - 23.3 * 10 3 Pa), more specifically 0-220 mm Hg (0 - 29.3 * 10 3 Pa).
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
Device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the device comprises means for storing data, connected to at least the transponder.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 32 words
Device according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein means are provided for positioning the device in a stable position within an artery, especially within an aneurysmal sac in an artery.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 25 words
Device according to claim 6, wherein the positioning means are provided for positioning the device at least partly within blood, clogged in an aneurysmal sac.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 21 words
Device according to claim 6, wherein the positioning means are provided for positioning the device at least partly on an endoprosthesis.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 15 words
Set of a device according to any one of the preceding claims and an endoprosthesis.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 17 words
Set according to claim 9, wherein the endoprosthesis is an endovascular prosthesis for use in the abdomen.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 42 words
Set according to claim 9 or 10, further comprising means for introduction into an artery, into which the device has to be introduced, especially catheter means, the device having such outer dimensions that this can be pushed through said means for introduction.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 20 words
Set according to claim 11, wherein the means for introduction comprises means for positioning the device in an aneurysmal sac.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 53 words
Set according to any one of claims 9-12, wherein means are provided for exiting the transponder when positioned in an artery of a human or animal, wherein furthermore means are provided for reading data transmitted from the pressure sensor and/or data means through the transponder to the outside of said human or animal.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 20 words
Use of a miniaturized pressure sensor and transponder attached thereto, for introduction into an artery of a human or animal.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 55 words
Method for measuring pressure in an artery of a human or animal body, especially in an aneurysmal sac therein, whereby a pressure sensor and a transponder attached thereto are positioned in said artery, the transponder being arranged for wireless transmitting pressure data from the pressure sensor to detecting means outside said human or animal body.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 55 words
Method according to claim 15, wherein the pressure sensor and transponder are brought into said artery by means of a catheter, whereby an endoprosthesis is brought into said artery in a position over the pressure sensor and transponder, thus enclosing said pressure sensor and transponder in between the wall of said artery and said endoprosthesis.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 17 words
Use of a catheter for introduction of a sensor and transponder into a human or animal body.
