Construction set for assembling separators for light and/or heavy liquids

Abstract

Abstract A modular system is used to assemble separators removing heavy and light materials from waste water. The separator is round in section; it is assembled from central- and end sections, joined by ring flanges and clamping units. A new feature is provision of the separator modules for assembly on a vertical axis. The modules comprise ≥ 1 cylindrical central sections (1). The separator is completed by cover sections with differing options for collection and/or abstraction (3, 17) of floating materials, and optional base sections (5), one of which has a sludge sump (5) with extraction connection (19). The system comprises ≥ 2 optional central sections with differing inlet and outlet arrangements, and/or differing internal components guiding the flow.
