Lubricant oil filter intended for use in particular in internal combustion engines
Abstract
Abstract A lubricant oil filter intended for use in particular in internal combustion engines, has a standing filter housing closed off at the top by a screw cap (2), and a support (3) for a ring filter insert (4), the support being mounted on the screw cap (2) so as to be capable of rotation. The aim of the invention is to simplify the design of such a lubricant oil filter. To that end, the support (4), which at the bottom of the filter housing closes off an additional drain channel (10) when the housing cap (2) closes and opens said drain channel (10) when the cap (2) opens, is designed in a partial region as a self-supporting radially permeable support pipe (5) for the filter insert (4). The use of the ring filter insert (4) ensures simple and reliable mounting.
