Portable casing to inform bus network users about waiting times at network busstops

Abstract

Abstract Portable box (10) informs user of a bus network of waiting times at the stops on the network. The device (10) includes a radio receiver (11,12) to receive information from a central management station which is updated from the buses themselves. Such information is used to determine the waiting time by a central processing unit (15). A screen (16) and keyboard (17) provides means for inputting questions and reading information. A bell (19) is provided which is used by the central processing unit to emit a warning as soon as the expected time of arrival as previously notified to the user changes significantly from the actual, new, time of arrival.
