Vehicle tyre
Abstract
Abstract A vehicle tyre (1) with electrostatic charge dispersal ability has a carcass (2), a breaker layer (4) and a tread strip (8), the latter consisting of two or more rubber compounds. Over half the surface (13) in contact with the road consists of a first rubber compound (10) with a specific electrical resistance of ≥ 10<10> ohm cm and the remaining area in contact with the road consists of a second rubber compound (9) with a specific electrical resistance of ≤ 10<8> ohm cm. The thickness of the first compound (10) is ≥ 40% of the tread strip (8) thickness and the second rubber compound (9) below the first (10) extends to the breaker layer (4) and occupies the entire area between the first compound (10) and the breaker (4). Contact is made between the second compound (9) and an additional rubber compound at the sides of the tyre having a specific electrical resistance of ≤ 10<8> ohm cm.
