Cell testing in cellular telecommunication network

Abstract

Abstract The method involves placing a mobile test station in a network. A first communication is stopped by a server (SE) if the server does not establish communication with the mobile test station (TMS) or the communication is not broken off by the test mobile after a given period following transmission of a first set of parameters. Communication is also halted if a second communication is not established after a certain time by the test mobile, the second set of parameters is not received or there are errors in the set. There may be errors in the number of digits, a wrong digit before or after one of the second parameters or an error in the second parameters. An alarm is raised if the number of incidents exceeds a threshold in a given time.
