Abstract

Abstract The present invention relates to a method and device at mobile radio system. Especially is related to a mobile radio system to be used in indoor environments. To bridge reception problems in areas with a not acceptable signal strength, a number of antenna arrangements are introduced. Information is transmitted consecutively over each of the antenna arrangements. The control of said transmissions is performed by one in the system arranged control logic. The reception conditions will in this way be made acceptable in the digital mobile telephone system.

Claim 1
Independent Claim 78 words
Method at mobile radio system, which mobile telephone system includes mobile units which communicate via fixed radio stations in the mobile radio system, and to the radio stations are connected antenna arrangements, characterized in that each of the radio stations is connected to at least two antenna arrangements, each of the radio stations transmits over one of the antenna arrangements at a time, and that the antenna arrangements are utilized alternatingly, at which a low fading is achieved.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 25 words
Method according to patent claim 1, characterized in that the mobile telecommunication system is digital and that the information transmission is made in time slots.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 37 words
Method according to patent claim 1 or patent claim 2, characterized in that the transmission over each of the antenna arrangements is made for a period of time corresponding to one or more time slots per mobile.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 29 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that frames, corresponding to a certain number of the time slots, are transmitted displaced over the antenna arrangements.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 24 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that the radio stations transmit over the antenna arrangements including alternative antenna sets.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 48 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that the antennas are placed close, at which transmission minima in certain points in the room correspond to transmission levels which are acceptable for reception from at least one of the other antennas in the antenna arrangement.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 39 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that the switching between subsets of the antennas in the digital system, for instance GSM, is made at the same pace as a jump frequency at frequency jumping.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 22 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that the switching between the antennas makes interference diversity gains possible.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 23 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that alternation between the antennas is controlled by an electronic control system.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 31 words
Method according to patent claim 9, characterized in that the control system defines the subset of the antennas according to a current need and one at the occcasion existing traffic situation.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 20 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that the mobile radio system is divided into cells.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 24 words
Method according to any of the previous patent claims, characterized in that the control system reconfigures the cells with regard to existing traffic distribution.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 131 words
Device at mobile telephone system, which mobile telephone system is arranged to include base stations (BS), to which base stations antenna arrangements (A1, A2, ...An) can be connected, and mobile units (ME) are arranged to communicate via the mobile telephone system, and the communication is made in an environment where a signal strength at reception is unacceptable, and the mobiles are arranged to be in such signal strength minima for longer periods of time, characterized in that the antenna arrangements are arranged to be connected in consecutive periods of time, that signal strength minima for a first antenna arrangement corresponds to that the signal strength is acceptable for a second antenna arrangement, and that the reception condition for the mobiles (ME) is arranged to be acceptable independent of location in room.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 19 words
Device according to patent claim 1, characterized in that the antenna arrangements are arranged to be at least two.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 24 words
Device according to patent claim 1 or patent claim 2, characterized in that each antenna arrangement is arranged to include at least one antenna.
Claim 16
