Mobile radio system

Abstract

Abstract The central service station (10) is in radio contact with at least one mobile station (20) via switched exchanges (14). The central service station exchanges digital data with the exchange. The mobile station includes a microprocessor (24) for control of data communication. The microprocessor is controlled by control commands of a control program. The microprocessor detects and evaluates short messages from the service station according to a predetermined data transmission protocol. The microprocessor changes the content of its control program based on the information in the short message. In this way, technical functions of the mobile station can be released or blocked.
