Abstract
Abstract The subscriber termination is provided via an appropriate interface circuit (CIU-a/b, CIU-SO, MDU) between the subscriber and the coaxial cable path (Koax), the radio subscriber base station coupled to the latter as an integrated services digital network subscriber. The function module (HIU) between the optical fibre paths (LWL) and the electrical exchange line has a data input device allowing the 16 bit/s channels of a number of radio base stations to be combined as a 64 bit/s signalisation channel, fed to a PCM30 line leading to a central radio control (RDU), for operation in the same mode as a radio local loop network.
