Method and system for monitoring call fees in a mobile radio system

Abstract

Abstract The monitoring system prepares tariff data for each placed call and calculates a limited talking time (TA) in dependence on a call charge limit (CL). A monitoring function is activated in parallel with the limitation of the talking time, to allow the call to be disconnected automatically at the end of the timed duration, to prevent the max. call charge being exceeded. Pref. the limited talking time is calculated at the mobile subscriber connection exchange (MSCA), in dependence on stored call charge limit data transmitted to the latter from the mobile subscriber, with transmission of the disconnection information at the end of the monitored duration.
