Method and system for reducing the mobile reconnecting time to a base station of a cellular radio-communication network
Abstract
Abstract The method involves storing a first list of base station frequencies within the mobile station's geographical zone periodically in the memory (20) of a subscriber identity module card (2). During connection, the mobile station measures a first reception level for each frequency defined within the network. A second list of frequencies is stored with second reception levels corresponding to the maximum power received by the mobile station. The two levels of reception for each frequency in this list are compared. If the comparison shows substantial equality, the mobile station is synchronised to the frequency in the first list which has the highest first reception level. Otherwise the synchronisation proceeds in order of decreasing first levels.
