Abstract Translated from German Im GSM-Netz ist ein Kurznachrichten-Dienst (engl.: Short Message Service, SMS) spezifiziert. A short message service (SMS) is specified in the GSM network. Das erfindungsgemäße Funkendgerät ist so ausgelegt, daß es nur zum Senden und Empfangen von Kurznachrichten nach dem GSM-Standard geeignet ist. Eine Sprachübertragung ist nicht möglich. The radio terminal according to the invention is designed so that it is only suitable for sending and receiving short messages according to the GSM standard. Voice transmission is not possible.
