Abstract Translated from German Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von funktionellen Beschichtungen mit organofunktionellen Silanen einer Metallverbindung und schwerflüchtigen Oxiden, wobei man a) eine hydrolytische Kondensation, ggf. in Anwesenheit eines Kondensationskatalysators und/oder von Additiven, von folgenden Komponenten 1. mindestens einem vernetzbaren organofunktionellen Silan, 2. mindestens einer Metallverbindung, 3. gegebenenfalls mindestens einem nicht vernetzbaren organofunktionellen Silan und 4. gegebenenfalls einem oder mehreren im Reaktionsmedium löslichen, schwerflüchtigen Oxid durchführt; b) daß man zu diesem hydrolytischen Kondensat ein organisches vernetzbares Präpolymer zugibt und c) die so erhaltene Beschichtungslösung auf ein Substrat aufbringt und anschließend aushärtet.
