Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 3
Claim 1
Independent Claim
125 words
An IC card loading detecting apparatus for reading an IC
card (1), said IC card (1) including a central processing
unit housed therein and a plurality of input/output terminal portions (2a-2h)
for transmitting and receiving a signal between said
central processing unit and an interface unit (6) of an
equipment (4), comprising: detecting means for detecting a presence or absence
of said IC card (1), characterized in that said detecting means comprise a detection sensor contact (7) disposed together with a ground
contact (6e) on said interface unit (6) to detect the presence or absence
of said IC card (1) when said contact (7) is brought in electrical contact
together with said ground contact (6e) with a ground terminal (2e)
of said input/output terminal (2).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
40 words
The IC card loading detecting apparatus according to
claim 1, characterized in that said detection sensor
contact (7) is brought in contact with said ground
contact (6e) which comes in contact with said ground
terminal (2e) with a time difference.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
69 words
The IC card loading detecting apparatus according to
claim 1 or 2, characterized in that said detection sensor
contact (7) is brought in contact with said ground
terminal (2e) after said ground contact (6e) when said IC
card (1) is inserted into said equipment (4) and is disconnected
from said ground terminal (2e) before said
ground contact (6e) when said IC card (1) is ejected from
said equipment (4).
