Process to prepare micropheres for the sustained release of LHRH-hormone, microspheres and so-obtained compositions
Abstract
Process for the preparation of microspheres, for the sustained release of the hormone LHRH and its analogs, the hormone being dispersed in a polymer or copolymer matrix insoluble in water, the process by evaporation of solvent is characterized by the use of a couple of organic solvents, one of which more specifically makes it possible to obtain a homogeneous suspension of the hormone in the pulverulent state by simple stirring and the other of which is slightly miscible with water to more specifically allow microdispersion of the organic phase in the aqueous phase in which the hardening of the microspheres takes place. This process leads to the preparation of LHRH microspheres remarkable for their purity, in particular to microspheres with complex matrix, as well as to formulations comprising at least two types of microspheres.
