Abstract
Abstract An image displaying apparatus is provided, in which a plurality of image data of parts are stored in a ROM (13), which parts are representative of elements of a portrait such as eyes, eyebrows, a nose, hair, an outline of a face and so on, image data of the parts selected by operation of a key input unit (12) are read out from the ROM (13) and are combined on a display unit (17) of a dot matrix type, thereby a desired portrait being displayed thereon. A display position on the display unit (17) where each of the image data combined into the above desired portrait is to be displayed is previously determined. The display position can be changed by operation of up/down keys (20a, 20b) or left/right keys (21a, 21b) provided in the key input unit (12). Using these keys, a wide variety of portraits which are rich in expression may be composed.

An image displaying apparatus including image-data storing means (13) for storing a plurality of different image data of each of parts composing an object, image-data selecting means (F1, 20a, 20b, 21a, 21b, N, n, S3 to S7) for selecting an image data of each of the parts from among the plurality of image data stored in said image-data storing means, image composing means (14, S8, S3) for combining the image data selected by said image-data selecting means to compose an image of the object, and image-data displaying means (17) for displaying the image of the object composed by said image composing means, said apparatus characterized by comprising display controlling means (F2, X, Y, 20a, 20b, 21a, 21b, A6 to A10) for moving, independently of the other image data, at least one of the image data combined into the image of the object on said image-data displaying means.

The image displaying apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the object is a human face, and the parts composing the object are comprised, at least, of face components such as eyes, a nose, a mouth and a face outline, and the image data of the parts are image data of the face components.
