Abstract

Abstract In a control system equipped with a plurality of subsystems (3a:3b) and a supervising subsystem (1) for supervising these subsystems (3a:3b), a subgoal achievement performance is calculated by the subsystem with employment of self knowledge and a self condition with respect to a subgoal defined by the supervising subsystem, and the supervising subsystem controls an overall control system by utilizing the knowledge and conditions owned by the subsystems by applying a subgoal execution instruction to the subsystem based upon the calculation result. Since not only the knowledge but also the condition of the subsystems, proper controls can be realized in not only such a case that the supervising goal is directed to a static temporal aspect, but also such a case that the supervising goal contains a temporal element.

Claim 3
Dependent Claim 282 words
A power generating system including a plurality of power generating equipments (101:104); a supervising subsystem (11); and communication means (12) capable of establishing a communication between said power generating equipments and said supervising subsystem, said power generating equipments having a condition detecting subsystem for detecting local knowledge containing knowledge related to a self performance and a self condition, and also said supervising subsystem having a supervising goal as an overall power generating system and large area knowledge required to supervise said overall power generating system; said power generating system comprising the steps of: (a) dividing the supervising goal into a plurality of subgoals in said supervising subsystem and transmitting one of said divided subgoals to said plurality of power generating equipments by employing said communication means; (b) calculating a self subgoal achievement performance based upon said self local knowledge and said self condition and transmitting said calculated subgoal achievement performance to said supervising subsystem with employment of said communication means in said plurality of power generating equipments which have received said subgoals; (c) comparing/evaluating said subgoal achievement performances transmitted from said plurality of power generating equipments in said supervising subsystem which has received said subgoal achievement performances; (d) redividing said supervising goal into subgoals in said supervising subsystem if said supervision subsystem judges that the supervising goal should be redivided based on the comparison/evaluation result, and thereafter reexecuting said steps (a) to (c) with respect to the redivided subgoals; and (e) determining a subsystem to which a subgoal execution instruction is sent and sending the subgoal execution instruction to said subsystem in said supervising subsystem if said supervising subsystem judges that the supervising subsystem should be redivided based upon said comparison/evaluation result.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 53 words
A power generating system as claimed in claim 3, wherein at least one of said plurality of power generating equipments includes a supervising goal as said overall control system and large area knowledge required to supervise said overall control system, and at least one power generating equipment is operated as said supervising subsystem.
Claim 5
