Control signaling network, radio base station and mobile switching center

Claim 2

In a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of mobile stations, a plurality of radio zones, a plurality of radio base stations installed in said radio zones for communication with mobile stations in the radio zones by using radio channels, and a mobile switching center governing said radio base stations, a radio base station comprising: a location registration information memory for storing location registration information which consists of a plurality of registered area identifications and is broadcasted by radio base stations; and a broadcast identification notifier for notifying, upon change in the location registration information covering a radio zone served by a radio base station linked to a different broadcast layer from that, to which its own radio base station is linked, the identification of the changed registered area together with the identification of the broadcast layer, to which its own radio base station is linked, to the mobile switching center governing its own radio base station.

Claim 3

In a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of mobile stations, a plurality of radio zones, and a plurality of radio base stations installed in said radio zones for communication with mobile stations in the radio zones by using radio channels, and a mobile switching center governing said radio base stations, and a mobile switching center governing said radio base stations, and a control signaling network linking said mobile switching centers and radio base stations governed thereby, a mobile switching center comprising: an intrastation broadcast memory having a table of correspondence between identifications of registered areas covering radio zones served by radio base stations governed by the mobile switching center and identifications of broadcast layers; a calling signal generator for generating call data from the correspondence table stored in said intrastation broadcast memory; a control signal transceiver for transmitting and receiving control signals with respect to radio stations; and an intrastation identification changer for receiving from a radio base station a signal containing an identification of a broadcast layer linking said radio base station and a registered area identification being notified by said radio base station, storing the broadcast layer identification contained the received signal in a column of the broadcast layer identification contained in the received signal in the correspondence table, receiving from a radio base station a signal containing the identification of a broadcast layer linking the radio base station and the identification of a registered area, the broadcasting of which by the radio base station is discontinued, and deleting the broadcast layer identification contained in the received signal from the column of the registered area identification contained in the received signal in the correspondence table; thereby said mobile switching center transmits, upon a terminating call thereto, calling signal containing the broadcast layer identification stored in the column of the identification of the registered area, in which the called mobile station has registered, as the destination and also containing the identification of a registered area, in which the mobile station is making registration.

Claim 4

In a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of mobile stations, a plurality of radio zones, a plurality of radio base stations installed in said radio zones for communication with mobile stations in the radio zones by using radio channels, and a mobile switching center governing said radio base stations, and a radio base stations governed thereby, a control signaling network linking said mobile switching center and the radio base stations governed thereby, comprising: a plurality of broadcast layers in a tree-like arrangement and identified by hierarchical identifications corresponding to the tree-like structure; a relaying identification memory for storing the destination of call data; and a selective relay for selectively passing only call data having a destination stored in said relaying identification memory; thereby call data transmitted from said mobile switching center is transmitted to the radio base stations governed by the mobile switching center.

Claim 5

In a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of mobile stations, a plurality of radio zones, a plurality of radio base stations installed in said radio zones for communication with mobile stations in the radio zones by using radio channels, and a mobile switching center governing said radio base stations, a radio base station comprising: a location registration information memory for storing location registration information which consists of a plurality of registered area identification and is broadcasted by a radio base station; and a broadcast identification notifier for notifying, upon change in the location registration information covering a radio zone of a radio base station linked to a broadcast layer different to the broadcast layer linking said radio base station among the notified registered area identifications, the identification of the registered area covering the radio zone identifying the radio base station linked to a different broadcast layer among the notified registered area identifications to the mobile switching center governing the radio base stations.

Claim 6

In a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of mobile stations, a plurality of radio zones, a plurality of radio base stations installed in the radio zones by using radio channels, and a mobile switching center governing said ratio base stations, a control signaling network linking said mobile switching center and radio base station governed thereby, said control signaling network wherein: broadcast layers directly linking adjacent radio base stations among the broadcast layers governed by different mobile switching centers are linked to each other by a non-selective relay non-conditionally relaying data; and call data transmitted by said mobile switching centers are transmitted not only to the broadcast layers governed by said mobile switching centers but also to adjacent broadcast layers governed by other mobile switching centers.

Claim 7

In a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of mobile stations, a plurality of radio zones, a plurality of radio base stations installed in said radio zones for communication with mobile stations in the radio zones by using radio channels, and a mobile switching center governing the radio base stations, a mobile switching center comprising: an extrastation broadcast layer memory having a correspondence table between identifications of registered areas covering radio zones served by a mobile switching center and identifications of broadcast layers governed by a different switch station; a control signal transceiver for transmitting and receiving control signals with respect to said governed radio base stations and other mobile switching center; and a broadcast layer identification relay for relaying, upon reception from one of said governed ratio base stations a signal containing the identification of the broadcast layer linking said radio base station and the identification of a registered area covering a radio zone served by a radio base station governed by a different switch station, said signal to the other mobile switching center governing the broadcast layer contained in said signal; and a broadcast layer data changer for changing, upon reception of the notification of said signal from said other mobile switching center, the identification of the broadcast layer governed by the other mobile switching center stored in the column of the registered area identification contained in the notified signal; thereby said mobile switching center sends, upon a terminating call thereto, call data to the radio base stations governed by said mobile switching center, and transmits, in case when the identification of a broadcast layer governed by a different switch station is stored in the correspondence table, the call data to said broadcast layer via the other mobile switching center.

Claim 8

In a mobile communication system comprising a plurality of mobile stations, a plurality of radio zones, a plurality of radio base stations installed in said radio zones for communication with mobile stations in the radio zones by using radio channels, and a mobile switching center governing the radio base stations, a mobile switching center comprising: a broadcast station memory having a correspondence table between the identifications of registered areas covering radio zones radio base stations governing said mobile switching center and identifications concerning other mobile switching centers; a control signal transceiver for transmitting and receiving control signals with respect to said governed base stations and the other mobile switching center; a location registration information relay for relaying, upon reception from one of said governed radio base stations a signal containing an identification of a registered area covering a radio zone of a radio base station governed by a different mobile switching center, said signal to the mobile switching center governing the radio base station covered in said signal and changing, upon reception of a signal containing the own station identification as the destination and also the registered area identification, said signal into a signal containing said registered area identification as the destination; and a broadcast station data changer for changing, upon reception of the notification of said signal from the different mobile switching center, the identification of the different mobile station stored in the column of the registered area identification contained in the notified signal in the correspondence table; thereby said mobile switching center sends, upon a terminating call, call data to its governed radio base stations and sends the call data to the different mobile switching center if the identification of the different mobile switching center is stored in the correspondence table.
