Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to a hand-held endoscopy assembly for use in performing a medical procedure comprising a hand-held endoscopy device (31) having a bore (122) extending therethrough. A surgical tool is removably mounted in the bore (122) and is retained in a fixed longitudinal position within the device (31) while permitting rotation of the tool in the device (31). A valve (136) in the bore (122) establishes a substantially fluid-tight seal between the bore (122) and the tool.
