Abstract

Abstract A control device for amplifiers in satellites comprises digital compensation means (11), which receive in input a signal from temperature control means (10) and generate a phase compensation signal sent to an amplifier (1); and analog compensation means (12), supplied with a signal proportional to the input power to the amplifier (1) and generating an analog signal to be added to the phase compensation signal, the sum of the two signals being input to means (14) for comparison with a reference threshold. The comparison means (14) generate an attenuation or loss compensation signal supplied to the amplifier (1), conversion means (16) being furthermore provided receiving in input a power supply and the analog signal to generate a compensated power supply signal for the amplifier (1).

Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 5
Claim 1
Independent Claim 126 words
A control device particularly for amplifiers in satellites and the like, characterized in that it comprises: digital compensation means (11), which receive in input a signal from temperature control means (10) to generate a phase compensation signal sent to an amplifier (1); and analog compensation means (12), receiving in input a signal proportional to the input power to said amplifier (1) to generate an analog signal to be added to said phase compensation signal and input to means (14) for comparison with a reference threshold; said comparison means (14) generating an attenuation compensation signal input to said amplifier (1), conversion means (16) being moreover provided receiving in input a power supply signal and said analog signal to generate a compensated power supply for said amplifier (1).
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 28 words
A device according to claim 1, characterized in that said temperature detection means (10) comprise at least one temperature sensor (10) generating a voltage representing a detected temperature.
Claim 3
Independent Claim 39 words
A device according to the preceding claims, characterized in that said digital compensation means (11) receive in input said temperature-representing voltage to convert it into said phase compensation signal comprising a phase compensation voltage input to said amplifier (1).
Claim 4
Independent Claim 47 words
A device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said analog compensation means (12) generate, starting from said power-proportional voltage, said analog signal, comprising an analog voltage and is added to said phase compensation voltage generated by said digital compensation means (11).
Claim 5
Independent Claim 49 words
A device according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized in that said conversion means (16) comprise a dc converter (16) which receives in input a power supply signal and said analog voltage to generate a temperature and input power compensated supply voltage for said amplifier (1).
