Abstract

Weitergehende Maßnahmen verbessern die Ergonomie sowie die Sterilisierbarkeit des Handstückes To improve, in particular, the transmission efficiency of laser beams and the ablation rate in dental laser systems, it is proposed to arrange a crystal (30, 4) in the coupling-in beam path of a solid-state laser, which is used to smooth the intensity-time behavior of the laser radiation in such a way that it can be transmitted by optical waveguides . In addition, measures are provided with which it can be prevented that the ablation products generated by the radiation cannot in turn destroy the optical end surfaces of the applicator. Further measures improve the ergonomics and the sterilizability of the handpiece
