Abstract
Abstract Disclosed is an image processing apparatus for processing an input image and recording the image on a recording medium, and particularly a color copying apparatus which permits color copying of an original, and makes it possible to discriminate a specific original for the sake of prevention of forgery of a banknote, a negotiable instrument, or the like. The specific original is provided with copying processing which is different from that provided for an ordinary original.

An apparatus as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said controlling means is capable of changing the electrical image data output by said outputting means.
Claim 9
Independent Claim
38 words
An apparatus as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said controlling means is capable of actuating means for disposing of an filegal copy produced by the image outputting means (8;402) (Figure 5).
Claim 10
Independent Claim
27 words
An apparatus as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said controlling means effects a change of a reproduction image (Figure 6).
Claim 11
Independent Claim
46 words
An apparatus as claimed in claims 4 and 6, characterized in that said controlling means controls said processing means to shift the data representing the plurality of colours to produce a monochrome image or any desired colour except a faithful reproduction of the original (Figure 6).
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
66 words
An apparatus as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the reading device is a digital colour reader (401), and in that said controlling means effects a change of masking processing in a masking UCR processing circuit (463) to achieve a change in the reproduced image, viz so as to be a) unfaithful but readable, b) a specified colour or c) monochrome (Figures 7 to 11).
Claim 13
Dependent Claim

An apparatus as claimed in claim 12, characterized in that comparison is made between the electrical image data supplied by said supplying means and the distribution of colour spectra of the original stored in advance in a ROM or by comparing a pattern of a part or the whole of the image of the original with electrical pattern data stored in advance, or effecting such comparisons in combination (Figures 7 to 11).
Claim 14
Dependent Claim
44 words
An apparatus as claimed in claim 12, characterized in that a change in the reprocuded image is achieved by said controlling means which effects a change in the order of the colour sequence in the masking UCR processing circuit (463) (Figures 12 and 13).
Claim 15
Independent Claim
56 words
An apparatus as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4 or 12, characterized in that said image processing means includes an italic image/mirror image processing circuit (464) which is controlled by said determining means (450-3) to effect italic image or mirror image at the output of the processing means (412) (Figures 14 to 15).
