Abstract

<IMAGE> This multiplexing system uses a first main transmission channel (MC) to transmit or not, with a certain bandwidth related to the bit rate, the information coming from the subchannels (SC1, ..., SCp) according to their degree of priority. A so-called overflow authorization degree is assigned to certain subchannels (SCk + 1, ..., SCp) while a second main transmission channel known as an overflow channel (OC) is provided for transmitting information from sub-channels with overflow authorization when the first channel (MC) is saturated. Application: data transmission. <IMAGE>
