Abstract
Abstract The bridge-wire initiator contains a metal layer (15) which forms two electrodes connected to one another by means of an ignition bridge. Between the metal layer (15) and the pyrotechnic ignition composition (20) is located a thin protective film (21) made of electrically non-conductive material of good thermal conductivity. The protective film (21) makes it possible to use an ignition material having electrically conductive components, without a shunt by way of the ignition bridge being generated. <IMAGE>
