Abstract Translated from German Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Reinigung von Indigo, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, daß man den Indigo mit Schwefelsäure in Indigosulfat überführt, dieses abtrennt, anschließend unter Rückbildung von Indigo hydrolysiert und danach mit verdünnter Wasserstoffperoxidlösung behandelt. The invention relates to a process for the purification of indigo, which is characterized in that the indigo is converted into indigo sulfate with sulfuric acid, the latter is separated off, then hydrolyzed to form indigo and then treated with dilute hydrogen peroxide solution.
