Controlled disabling and locating system for a movable or mobile equipment

Abstract

Abstract The invention relates to a system for use by an authorised subscriber. The system comprises a central server (1) accessible by the subscriber by means of an access code and transmission of an intervention order, a network for selective transmission to the equipment (3), this transmission network comprising an analog radio frequency transmitter having available a subcarrier, and a receiver decoder circuit (4) for a disabling command message for the equipment (3) this circuit being placed in the region of this equipment. A controlled inhibition circuit (5) makes it possible to carry out disabling, and placing the equipment (3) in operation or on standby. Application to motor vehicles, radio frequency or television receivers, high-fidelity apparatus, radiotelephones, microcomputers, calculators or video cameras.
