Abstract

A slip control circuit (13) is proposed which compares the actual differential speed between the input and output speed of a friction clutch (5) of a motor vehicle with a target differential speed and adjusts a positioning drive (7) of the clutch (5) in accordance with the target differential speed. To increase the control accuracy, the set position signal s' calculated by a controller (19) of the slip control circuit (13) is superimposed on a set position signal from a clutch characteristic memory (25) in the sense of a disturbance variable. The clutch characteristic memory (25) stores the target position signal s ″ depending on the clutch torque that can be transmitted in this position and is addressed in accordance with the instantaneous engine torque determined, for example, via an engine map (27). When the engine (1) changes load, the clutch (5) is set to the expected torque before the actual differential speed changes significantly. The controller (19) has an integrating controller property, so that the integral component of the desired signal s' is zero when the clutch characteristic curve 25 stored in the clutch characteristic memory 25 is correctly dimensioned. A correction device (33) allows a gradual correction of the characteristic curve depending on the size of the integral component.
