Positioning device of a fibre optical splice in a support
Abstract
Abstract It is characterised in that it comprises a helically preformed deformable sleeve (5) receiving the splice (1), optionally reinforced by a U-shaped boat-like member (6), in a substantially central portion, then deformed and locked in place in a housing provided in a support (4). <??>The central zone (5A) is adapted to the dimensions of the reinforced splice; this zone is correspondingly enlarged, as indicated by the difference of the outer side d in relation to its terminal portions. Its turns are slackened and are no longer contiguous. The reinforced splice is directly held therein, in a closed manner, by gripping of turns on the edges (6A) of the boat or corresponding reinforced splice. <??>This sleeve (5) is preferably made of plastic. <??>The figure shows the splice 1, reinforced by the boat 6 and mounted in the sleeve (5) which is itself housed in the recess (3). The sleeve (5) is deformed by the internal reinforced splice mounted substantially in its central zone (5A). <IMAGE>
