Communication system with a central control using a multiprocessor system to which a tracer is connectable for test and diagnostic operations
Abstract
Abstract Tracer systems are used for fault analysis; they are connected to the systems to be investigated and record the processes occurring there. From the recorded data, the fault sources which have occurred can be located. The complexity of large systems, as represented by communication systems, also requires additional complexity in the tracer systems to be connected since tracer systems of the conventional type do not take into consideration multiprocessor-specific features. An active capability of intervening in the processor run of a multiprocessor system and a communication at symbolic level between the multiprocessor system and the tracer system provide a remedy in this case. <IMAGE>
