Abstract

Abstract A washable reusable nappy comprises a fibrous pad sandwiched between layers (16, 17) of woven cotton, shaped and sewn to provide a form which can readily be correctly fastened on a baby, and having releasable hook-and-loop fabric fasteners (24, 25) permanently attached to fastening tabs (11, 12, 13, 14). Two of the fastening tabs (11, 12) carrying the hook fasteners (24) have pockets which can be inverted so as to cover the fasteners and protect them from contact with lint or other fabric articles during washing.
