Clamping device for workpieces
Abstract
Abstract In a clamping device for plate-like workpieces, in particular for stock-removing deformation by means of machine tools, it is proposed to arrange, between a smooth baseplate and the under-surface of the workpiece, suction-retaining blocks which, controllable preferably separately on both sides, generate a vacuum action such that thereby both the blocks are retained on the base surface and the workpiece is retained on the blocks, and it is possible by random distribution of the blocks to create corresponding free spaces for the machining. A lateral clamp-on element, which exerts a lateral clamping action on the workpiece by mechanical leverage, is likewise provided and is secured via its lower bearing part on the baseplate by vacuum action or mechanical fastening. <IMAGE>
