Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 6
Claim 1
Independent Claim
54 words
A reflective-type liquld crystal display device comprising a transmissive substrate including pixel electrodes, a reflection plate comprising a core plate having an uneven surface on a first side thereof and a metal thin layer covering the uneven surface of the first side, a liquid crystal layer interposed between the substrate and the reflection plate.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
34 words
A reflective-type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1, wherein the uneven surface of the substrate comprises a repetition of hills and valleys, the hills being arranged at not larger than 100 µm.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
30 words
A reflective-type liquid crystal display device according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the surface on which the metal thin layer is formed is disposed toward the liquid crystal layer.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
31 words
A reflective-type liquid crystal display device according to claim 3, wherein the metal thin layer functions as a counter electrode for the pixel electrodes with the liquid crystal layer being interposed.
Claim 5
Independent Claim
60 words
A method for producing a reflective-type liquid crystal display device, the method comprising the steps of preparing a glass substrate, growing an oxide layer on a first surface of the substrate, etching the oxide layer of the substrate to form an uneven surface on the first surface of the substrate, and forming a metal thin layer on the uneven surface.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
48 words
A reflective liquid crystal display device wherein a liquid crystal layer is interposed between a transparent substrate which includes an array of image element electrodes, and a reflection plate which comprises a plate member having an uneven surface and a thin metallic layer formed on said uneven surface.
