Abstract Translated from German Bei einer Vorrichtung zur Prüfung von Dokumenten besteht die optische Beleuchtungseinheit aus wenigstens einem mit Fluoreszenzstoff versehenen Lichtleiter, über den wenigstens zwei Lichtanteile unterschiedlicher Wellenlänge auf einen gemeinsamen Bereich des Dokuments geführt werden. Die Lichtanteile werden im Zeitmultiplexverfahren ein- und ausgeschaltet. Dazu sind spezielle Schaltregler vorgesehen, die neben dem Ein-/Ausschaltvorgang auch die Helligkeit der Beleuchtungsquellen regeln.
