Abstract

Abstract The invention proposes a brake lining wear detector (6) having a sleeve-shaped housing (7) which is designed to allow the wear detector (6) to be fixed on the brake-lining carrier of a vehicle brake and in which the loops (13, 14) of signal leads (11, 12) are laid. A holder (15), which can be fixed in the housing (7), and deflection means are provided. When the holder (15) is inserted into the housing (7) and those parts of the loops (13, 14) which project from the opposite side of the housing (7) are pulled tight at the same time, the said means bring about deformation and automatic fixing of the signal leads (11, 12). <IMAGE>
