Abstract
Abstract Method and apparatus for capturing and saving recently dialed telephone numbers and for redialing automatically a telephone number from among the most recently dialed telephone numbers. Embodiments of the present invention: (a) capture an outgoing telephone number when it is dialed by a caller (100, 130); (b) enter the telephone number (130) into a database (140) comprised of the last N telephone numbers that were dialed, where N is a predetermined number of telephone numbers, while eliminating duplicative entries for a particular telephone number; (c) display the telephone numbers (120, 130) in the directory in response to caller input (115, 125); and (d) cause a telephone number in the directory to be redialed in response to caller input (115, 130, 110).

Apparatus for capturing and storing telephone numbers dialed from a telephone set (100) and for causing the telephone set (100) to dial automatically one of the stored telephone numbers, characterized in that , interaction means are provided for interacting with the telephone set (100) for capturing telephone numbers which are dialed by the telephone set (100), in that memory means (140) are provided for storing telephone numbers which are captured by the interaction means, whereby the telephone numbers which are stored are determined in accordance whith predetermined selection criteria, in that display means (120) provides a display (120) of the stored telephone numbers, and in that the interaction means further comprises means for causing the telephone set to dial at least one of the stored telephone numbers.

Apparatus for capturing and saving recently dialed telephone numbers and for redialing automatically a telephone number from among the most recently dialed telephone numbers, characterized in that , a telephone set (100) and processor means (130) for interacting with the telephone set (100) for capturing telephone numbers which are dialed by the telephone set (100), in that memory means (140) are provided for storing telephone numbers which are captured by the processor means (130), whereby the telephone numbers which are stored are determined in accordance with predetermined selection criteria, in that display means (120) provides a display of the stored telephone numbers, and in that the processor means (130) further comprising means (115, 125) for causing the telephone set (100) to dial at least one of the stored telephone numbers.
