Abstract

Abstract The device for detecting the location of bursts, applicable to MAC/PACKET signal receivers, comprises means (12) of detecting transitions and of detecting the presence of a sequence comprising in succession a period with duration equal to at least N1 T1 during which transitions spaced apart by at most N2 T1 have been observed, and a transitionless period with a duration at least equal to N3 T1. They emit a pulse on each detection (T1 being a specified time interval, of the same order of magnitude as the bit period). Validation means (22-40) count the pulses emitted during a time window locked onto the first pulse, for a duration greater than that of the useful lines of a frame and check whether the number of pulses is greater than a predetermined value. <IMAGE>
