Resorbable implant-string
Abstract
Abstract The invention relates to an absorbable implant string comprising a core of threads or filaments made of absorbable material which is enclosed by a porous or permeable material made of absorbable material, which cord is characterised in that the shell is enclosed by a further sheath made of absorbable material and that not only the sheath but also the shell comprise a tubular braid, that of the shell having a braid angle alpha in the range from 50 to 89 DEG , while the braid angle beta of the sheath is in the range from 20 to 80 DEG , and that the braid density AM of the shell is in a range from 1,000 to 100,000 overlaps/cm<3> and the braid density AH of the sheath is in a range from 50,000 to 1,000,000 overlaps/cm<3>, and that the string has been stretched by 10 to 80% at temperatures of 60 to 180 DEG C and then cooled. <IMAGE>
