Abstract

Abstract Press-in contacts for producing solder-free electrical connections, so-called press-in connections, have a slotted opening in the shank part. If this opening is not stamped exactly centrally in the shank part, uneven deformation of the limbs bounding the slotted opening can occur during pressing in. The desired contact making can, in consequence, be adversely affected. In order to avoid this, the slotted opening has a parabolic construction at its ends while it has a constriction in its centre as a result of broadening of the limbs. <IMAGE>
